It’s OK – I’ve read the Internet for you!
… well just about … I gave it a good crack and over the course of many years, I’ve read EXACTLY 87.5% of all the online marketing blog posts and e-books on the Internet.
OK, slight exaggeration – but it’s true that I’m pretty well read on the subject.
I’ve worked as an online marketing professional for about 7 years now. And during this time, I’ve spent far too long drowning in the sheer volume of options and information available to online marketers.
I know I’m not alone, every CEO, business owner and marketing manager I speak to feels the same – overwhelmed and unable to process the whole crazy shouting mass of shiny new technological tools and techniques – all them supposedly so important that to ignore them means certain marketing doom.
I spent years reading and working at a frantic pace. I was getting results too, for me and for my clients. But I had little idea where the results were coming from.
I needed to slow down and go over everything with a fine tooth comb, I needed to work out what the 20% driving the 80% of results was.
So I did … and when I did – the results were surprising.
Turns out most of the online marketing hoo-ha is unnecessary at worst, a distraction at best.
Turns out that it actually is possible to boil the art and science of digital marketing down to a few simple steps that genuinely do drive the majority of results for most companies and individuals.
I figured out the 20% that was working to deliver 80% of my results, boiled my marketing efforts down to the system that was repeatedly working for me and my clients, and had my moment of “total marketing clarity”.
