A few years ago I made a website for a local electrician. At the time it was fine but of course since then smart phones have taken over the world, so the owner of the business contacted me asking if I could make him a website that looked good on mobiles.
We looked at a few options and in the end he decided he wanted to go with something very similar to my own website.
The things he liked about this website were:
- simple clean design
- mobile friendly AKA responsive design
- modern, sophisticated aesthetic
- fast turnaround – in this case because his website content did not need changing I was able to deliver the new site within one day.
Here are a couple of screen shots of what his site looks like on my iphone. You’ll note he wanted a simple bullet-point list of the main website pages, plus clickable email and phone number contacts, front and centre.
