The Fourth of the 5 C’s of Online Marketing is “Content”
Yes that’s right – MORE content.
Once you have their email you then need to begin drip-feeding them even more free content so that they start to know, like and trust you as an expert who can cure what ails them. And at the same time, rough though it sounds, you’ve got to keep pokin’ ‘em where it hurts, keep agitating their problem, so their pain stays top of mind.
But what is this content you’ll be giving away? A lot. More than will make you comfortable, especially if you SELL information.
The thing is – telling someone how to cure a bleeding neck doesn’t mean their neck is cured! So by telling people what you do, you actually position yourself to get hired, not the opposite. (But keep it relevant to their pain!)
Things Needed To Complete This Step:
- Email management software subscription (auto-responder)
- Funnel content strategy
- Monthly email newsletters
- A Blog
- Videos, podcasts, etc.
- Live events
Yeah, making all this content is hard work BUT the great news is, you can set up a marketing machine to do a bunch of this for you on auto-pilot once you do the initial work.
